| For a long time it has been said
that unless one has made 1000 leaves, petals or tallies, one
cannot expect to be good at it. This is true! One gets
better with practice!
The HLG-1000-Leaves&Tallies-Club
is not just a gimmick. Its purpose is to encourage lacemakers to
learn to make perfect leaves and not to be afraid of them. Some of
the prettiest patterns are not attempted because they have a few
leaves in them.
Rules:
-
| You do
not have to be a member of the HLG to participate. |
- Make at least 333, 666 or 1000 leaves,
petals or tallies (depending on the category).
- They do not have to be made in one lace
project, but one of the projects has to have at least 50
leaves in it.
- List all the lace projects with numbers
of leaves and add them up
- Send a copy or photo of at least one of
these laces--a photo of you would be nice too
- Just like the HLG-Three-Yard-Club, the
HLG-1000-Leaves&Tallies-Club is free, but ...
if you send $8 with your registration we will send you a
commemorative 'club bobbin' - see picture on
"Three-Yards-Club" page.
-
You may enter one time in each category (total
of 3 times), starting with the lowest category. Number of
leaves made in previous category counts for next category.
The entrance form can be found on the "Forms" tab.
Categories:

1000 Leaves = Perfection!
You may enter one time in each category but only in ascending
